When to join Agriculture Programme & its selection procedure?
People generally wastes time before joining Agricultural programme. From my
real life experience A lot of my friends have wasted time for taking Medical Entrance programme coaching & some of them Wasted their time while doing B.Tech , left the B.tech programme before complete . My Suggestion is ,
never do such this nonsense work . If you are going through B.Tech , don’t left from there .No Doubt B.tech is a good programme.
Time to join Agriculture Programme:
You can Join Agriculture through 3 phases.
1.
Dioloma
: After completing your M.P or Class 10 exam.
2.B.Sc
: After completing your +2 level.
3.M.Sc
: It is 2 year’s course. Join here after completing B.Sc agriculture.
My personal opinion, no need to Do diploma after +10 exam. It collapse all the way of your further study but Agriculture. If you do B.Sc after +2 level ,then you’ll get a broad horizon for further study.
B.Sc agriculture programme needs Science background. That maybe pure science or bio science . If you had Bio science i.e biology, then you must have to study Math during your programme. If you had , then you have to study Botany & this factors are mandatory. If you had both , then you wil get option to choose Math or Botany. I had Both Math & Botany in my +2 level, for that I had option during B.Sc Agriculture hons degree. I choose Botany as it is more related to Agricultural science.

Admission procedure:
you can go through 2 phases !
1.Through ICAR exam
,it’s a National level Exam. Syllabus similarly as NEET but don’t worry, its easier.
2.Through Direct admission
: Every ICAR affiliated college has some direct admission seat, fulfilled by their % requirement. If you can get above 89% in your +2 level, then there is a chance to get direct admission. Although the % varies according to Competition.
Although there is some private college. you can approach them. Always choose reputed college with superior placement reputation. But If you want to do M.Sc after B.Sc , then it’s causes problem sometime as some college’s Eligibility criteria requires ICAR affiliated college pass out student.
You can only Apply for ICAR exam after+2 level.
